Collection: Ken Orton

Ken Orton was born in Birmingham, England in January of 1951.  He attended Birmingham and Manchester Colleges of Art between 1969 and 1973.  He taught at the Moseley School of Art in his hometown, before in 1979, leaving England to live in Spain.

For 20 years, from 1979 to 1999, Orton was in charge of the Centre de Arte Joan Miro of the Baleares International School in Palma de Mallorca.

In 1999 he left Spain and now lives between his homes in the Catskill Mountains of New York and the gulf coast of Florida.

Orton's original oil paintings can be found in many of America's most prestigious galleries.  Additionally, his paintings are located in the United Kingdom in the Catto Gallery Hampstead.  Ken Orton Gallery, located in Venice Florida, is the source for all official Ken Orton works.  

He has won numerous awards, including Best in Show at the ONE DAYTONA Art Festival in 2024.
