December is the month of giving. With the holidays approaching, we spend our time receiving and giving to those we love. Gallery500 is honored to give back to the community throughout the year with a few of our signature events, including the annual Art of Speed, the award winning ONE DAYTONA Art Festival, and Giant Duck Decorating with the Early Learning Coalition of Flagler and Volusia. In this month’s blog, we will talk more about these signature events and how you can help support our community.
Gallery500’s annual Art of Speed is just around the corner on January 26, 2024. Every year, in partnership with Frank Molnar of Lifestyle Group at Oceans Luxury Realty and ONE DAYTONA, the Art of Speed presents the best in luxury vehicles and fine art. Guests can donate and display their one-of-a-kind vehicle or donate to experience Gallery500’s VIP Party, which includes exclusive art releases, live art from world renowned artists such as Thomas Arvid, wine tasting, live music and more. All proceeds benefit the NASCAR Foundation and their mission to “improve the lives of children who need it the most in [the] NASCAR community.” In 2023, we raised $25,000 to donate to the foundation. We look forward to increasing that donation in 2024.
The ONE DAYTONA Art Festival is a juried fine art festival hosting fine artists and craft artisans from around the country. In addition to unique art, guests of the festival will be able to see live art throughout the show, enjoy live music, an interactive kid zone, and an art display featuring Volusia County Schools’ students. Proceeds from the ONE DAYTONA Art Festival are returned to our community as donations to Volusia County Schools’ Visual Arts Program and, new in 2024, to Daytona State College.
Not only does Gallery500 support art in our public schools, we know the importance of supporting the youth in our community early in life. Every April, Gallery500 hosts the Giant Duck Decorating to raise funds for the Early Learning Coalition of Flagler and Volusia (ELCFV). Gallery500 artists to custom paint giant ducks where guests can view the decorated ducks at Gallery500 through the month of March 2024 and even bid to win their favorite. All proceeds go to the ELCFV to help children in our community be prepared for school and life.
